Starting a journey to natural living can be a daunting task. There's so much information out there, and it can be difficult to know which information to trust. When it comes to deodorant, there are a number of reasons why natural is best. Sweating is part of the body's natural detoxification process, and is an important bodily function. When you use antiperspirants, the chemicals block the sweat glands, which in turn prevents the detoxification process occuring.

Why natural deodorant?

An all natural, aluminium free and environmentally friendly alternative to mainstream deodorants. Essential oils are renowned for their antibacterial, odour reducing and skin hydrating properties, making them a great addition to any natural homemade deodorant. When you use a natural deodorant, it allows your body to sweat and detox naturally. What you might not know is that it's not the sweat itself that creates body odour, but the way the sweat interacts with the bacteria on your skin. The essential oils will work to cleanse the skin, therfore preventing bad body odour.

How to make your own natural deodorant?

Making your own deodorant is easy, all you need is a handful of ingredients and your favourite essential oils and you're ready to go.
