DILUTION IS KEY
When creating your own blends or applying essential oils on the skin, make sure to use the recommended dilution. The advised dilution from our qualified Aromatherapist is 0.25% for 2-6 year olds and 1% for 6 years and older. Essential oils are considered too strong for use on babies' skin (0-24 months) and a little overwhelming on their developing systems, however we can still use essential oils in a diffuser.
LITTLES VS GROWN UPS
Children are not tiny adults - it is best to approach essential oils with a different mindset when using them around our little ones. Essential oils are potent and can have adverse reactions when used incorrectly. When using essential oils for yourself, be sure to consider having a well ventilated area, shorter usage time, try a personal diffuser or create your own DIY applications.
KID-FRIENDLY OILS
Our ECO. Little range is suitable for children, however, it is recommended to always keep an eye on our kids when using the essential oils themselves. Make sure to take safety precautions and keep essential oils out of little hands reach. This will help prevent accidents and encourage our kids to learn how to use essential oils safely as they are growing up.
PREGNANCY & BREASTFEEDING
Some of you may be wondering - "if these oils are safe for my children, are they safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding?" This isn't necessarily the case. Essential oils can be suitable for use around kids but recommended to avoid during pregnancy. We recommend to avoid the use of essential oils in your first trimester and consult our FAQ to confirm which essential oils are suitable to use during pregnancy. We also encourage you to consult with your healthcare practitioner when in doubt.
